Mr Keith Bannister - DOA 14th November 2017
My name is Keith Bannister and I am a married 62 year old retired Essex primary headteacher. I was head at Trinity St. Mary's, South Woodham for 13 years, culminating with nearly 7 years of headship at Great Totham P.S.. Both schools inspection grades were consistantly 'Good' with 'Outstanding aspects.
I currently work part time for Active Essex supporting schools with their planning and delivering impact of the PE Sports Premium funding. I am an ambassador for the David Randall Foundation charity.
and a Governor of Wentworth Primary School.
Allotment holding, membership of Maldon Golf Club and 5 grandchildren attending various schools in Maldon take up the remainder of my time.
Mr Colin Day - DOA 1st April 2014
I have been a governor at Purleigh Community Primary School for six years. My four children attended the school and I currently have children in Years 5 and 3. I am Vice president of Market Research and Insight at SunGard Ltd which enables me to bring a wealth of valuable experience and advise to both the Governing Body and the Multi Academy Trust. I am determined to ensure that all children within The Eveleigh LINK Academy Trust reach their potential.
Mr Ray Hockley - DOA 1st April 2014
I am passionate about trying to raise standards where it relates to children’s wider education and experience of the world. I am a firm believer that children have a huge capacity to realise their potential with good inspirational role models alongside good education. I see the opportunity to inspire the development of any young person regardless of their starting ability or competency level.
A father of twin 12 year old boys, I have been in a company director role managing my own IT businesses for 30 years mainly in the financial markets. I have been involved in voluntary youth organisations for 18 years and am a keen sailor and enjoy skippering yachts, as well as being a qualified football referee.
Mrs Yvonne Norburne - DOA 1st April 2014
I have been a governor at Purleigh Community Primary School for 8 years and have been Chair of the Governing Body for 6. I am the Executive Chair of Directors and also a Trustee for The Eveleigh LINK Academy Trust. I have two grandchildren currently at the school and volunteer reader for Years R and 3. My interests include reading, needlework, various crafts, rugby and I belong to the Inner Wheel Club of Maldon which is service organisation similar to Rotary.
